Still in the box? Start here
- Set up somewhere with good light. Lay the canvas flat and keep a cup of water and a paper towel nearby for your brush.
- Match the pots to the numbers. Each small number on the canvas matches a numbered paint pot.
- Pick one number and fill every space with it. Then close that pot and move to the next number.
- Work from the top of the canvas down, so your hand doesn't rest on wet paint.
- Don't aim to finish in one sitting. Twenty minutes is a good first session.
Working on it? Tips for the tricky parts
- Tiny spaces: use the finest brush and only a little paint on the tip.
- Light colours over dark lines: let the first coat dry, then add a second.
- Made a mistake? Acrylic covers acrylic. Let it dry and paint over it.
- Paint getting thick? Keep the lids closed between colours. A drop of water can loosen paint that has started to dry.
- Clean your brush in water whenever you change colours, and dry it on a paper towel.
